Voluntary Debt Collection

A critical component in the management of a successful business is a timely beginning and efficient handling in the collection of overdue invoices. The likelihood of payment increases the sooner payment reminders and debt collection begins.

Voluntary debt collection begins, in accordance with the Finnish Debt Collection Act, with a written demand for payment. If the debt is not paid after the first demand for payment, there are other efficient tools for collection, such as further written demands, contacting the debtor by phone and, in the case of non-consumer collection, the use of tratta, which are notices of unpaid debts in certain major national newspapers. These tools generally achieve the desired results.

The debtor can, at any time during the voluntary collection, propose a payment plan, which Cash-In will actively oversee. Collection proceeds in accordance with the current legislation, and we always follow good debt collection practice.
